Why is Christmas celebrated?
Christmas is one of the most important Christian festivals. It is also called Merry Christmas or Christmas day. This festival is celebrated all over the world on the 25th of December. Christmas-related events start on the eve of Christmas Day, i.e. December 24th.
During this time many colorful events have been organized in European and Western countries. In Nepal and India too, Christmas Day is very popular in various cities. On this day people gather in the big churches of the city and meditate on the Lord Jesus. On the eve of Christmas, people sing carols in praise of the Lord, and on Christmas day they carry messages of love and brotherhood to each other's homes.
